Port Lincoln, South Australia
We decided to shell out some extra cash last night for a hotel room, which turned out to be filthy and infested with bed bugs! Liza awoke at about 4:30 a.m. with bites all over her arm. We got our own sheets out and were able to sleep the rest of the night, but those bloodsuckers sure ruined our plans of resting up!
Sunday, while camping in Streaky Bay, we went to the local farmers market, which turned out to be more of a festival than a farmers market. There, we indulged in several dozens of fresh oysters, as well as shrimp and some delicious South Australian wine. The mood was truly festive, and we somehow attracted just about every toddler in the park, who all decided to cover Andy in grass clippings! All the wine and seafood left us tired the next day, which turned out to be cloudy and rather cold. We decided that a warm hotel room would be just what we needed, but we weren't counting on a bug problem! Now, we're looking forward to getting back to the tent!
